Due: Sunday Week 10
1500 words
Instructions
Considering the two modalities (Emotional Focus therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) taught within this unit, select the approach that most resonates with you and using theoretical
perspectives, provide a rationale for your choice.
Using advanced critical awareness, compare and contrast both theoretical and practical aspects of the modalities, then utilising the framework of assimilative integration, outline an approach that you would consider using in practice.
Key factors inherent within both theories which you might consider include their respective assumptions and explanations of human nature, psychopathology and the change process.
Rationale & Expectations
The purpose of this assessment is to demonstrate mastery in understanding theoretical and practical approaches to
counselling as well as how they are similar and differ.
Students have the opportunity to synthesise theoretical knowledge using an integration framework.
This task meets the following Learning Outcomes:
1. Critically examine the theoretical tenets and practices of two main theories of counselling.
2. Evaluate the movement towards psychotherapy integration with a view to how this shapes their counselling practice.
3. Plan how to incorporate integrative counselling theory into their approach to practice.
This assignment should be substantiated by reference to the Unit textbook and any other resources the student uses.

/in /byI have handed in this assessment but they are questioning my referencing and that i have used AI can you help get me out of this mess please below is the email they have sent me Dear Kylie,
I am writing with a concern about assessment 4: Essay and Concept Map in Perioperative Nursing Practice.
I am a conducting an academic integrity investigation. This is a standard process when generative AI use is suspected.
Please note this is not an accusation, we are wanting to clarify inconsistencies with your assessment to ascertain its authenticity.
The triggers for this review are:
Numerous inconsistencies within your reference list:
Black & Baldwin (2021). DOI links to unrelated article. Unable to find original article in extensive database search.
Bu & Jezewski (2020). DOI does not work and unable to find original article in extensive database search.
Gillespie et al (2020). DOI takes to unrelated article and unable to find original article in search.
Lee et al (2023). DOI does not work. Article title does exist, but authors are completely different.
Russ et al (2021). DOI links to unrelated article. Cannot find article in database search.
Ulrich & Grady (2022). DOI links to unrelated article. Cannot find article in database search.
Wong et al (2023). DOI links to unrelated article. Cannot find article in database search
Would you please be able to explain why/how this score and inconsistencies have appeared? Have you used generative AI to formulate your reference list?
Please respond and attach the articles above. Please do not provide replacement articles with different titles/authors – we require your originally referenced articles.
Please respond with a detailed description of any generative AI software that you have utilised, and also a detailed description of the search databases you used to do your literature searches.
Other evidence you can provide includes:
Database research undertaken for the assessment
Drafts of work
PDF’s of references used in the development of your assessment.
We want this to be a learning opportunity to set you up for future success. However, if you are not able to provide the above analysis – this could also trigger the academic misconduct process as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.

COUNSELLING FOR PARENTS
Although most people are able to independently work through the broad range of reactions that follow the diagnosis of their child, some experience difficulty in resolving their feelings and emotions and may seek counselling to help them resolve their pain and clarify their thoughts.
Counselling include;
(a) helping the person to accept the reality that their child has a disorder;
(b) assisting the person to work through the emotions of anger, guilt, anxiety and helplessness that he or she is feeling; and
(c) reassuring the person that what he or she is experiencing is normal.
